On the 13th of December 2011, Apple announced the launch of new iTunes stores throughout Latin America. Sixteen new stores will bring the total numbers of territories with an iTunes store to fifty-one.

All the major labels are represented alongside thousands of independents, featuring both Brazilian and international music. As well as the launch catalogue of over 20 million songs, the new stores offer over a thousand films to buy and rent. Apple’s App Store has also been rolled out across Latin America, offering 500,000 different apps.

The most important piece of information, from our point of view, is that AWAL clients will now have their music delivered to a potential half-a-billion new customers, throughout Latin America.
