One of AWAL’s newest and youngest finds, 19 year-old singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin is already making a strong impression.

As well as being selected for the highly coveted iTunes Single Of The Week, her YouTube channel alone has over 7 million plays and 39,000 subscribers. Gabrielle is not just an Internet sensation either; last summer saw her play Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party, as well as headlining three national UK tours.

Gabrielle first came into the public eye over three years ago, when she started uploading videos of herself performing acoustic covers to YouTube. Artists including Cee Lo Green, Katy Perry and Paramore were all covered, and her cover of You Me At Six’s ‘The Liar And The Lighter’ has over half a million views.

‘Home’, Gabrielle’s debut EP, was released on the 9th of January, and is available to buy on iTunes now. The lead single from the EP, also titled ‘Home’, is the iTunes Single Of The Week from the 10th of January.
